What is unauthorized trade?
A street trade that is not authorized is one that was done in the wrong place, and because there is no official registration, it is not taxed by the government. The trade is therefore illegal and punishable.
Illegal trade on Russian soil is prohibited, but it still occurs. While it is what everyone in their town sees, you cannot just put some of your things up for sale on the street. In such instances, there are markets and fairs where you pay a fee for the right to trade, where the quality of the goods is checked and the sale is permitted.
Unauthorized trade is a phrase that may refer to any trade conducted without the approval of the government. This could include, for example, goods manufactured in a country and smuggled to another country where they are sold for less than the retail price in the home country. The term also encompasses trading by unlicensed individuals and/or companies as well as those that use deceptive means such as counterfeit products, concealed or misrepresented customs documentation, or freight forwarding.
