What is RNS?
The Regulatory News Service, or RNS, disseminates regulatory and non-regulatory information on behalf of UK businesses and publicly traded companies. The RNS, which is part of the London Stock Exchange (LSE), provides businesses with information that can assist them in meeting their disclosure obligations.
The RNS announces a company's results, shares issues, and any changes to its board of directors. All of these factors can have an impact on a company's stock price and performance. Every year, the RNS issues hundreds of thousands of announcements. In fact, the RNS is the source of the majority of regulatory and price-sensitive UK company information.
The RNS is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing for the publication and dissemination of company news and information around the clock.
