What is Acquisition?
A business acquisition occurs when one company buys all or part of the stock or assets of another firm. Typically, an acquisition is performed to control and capitalize on the acquired company's strengths, as well as to achieve synergies. Combinations of businesses can take the form of acquisitions (in which both businesses survive), mergers (in which only one business survives), or amalgamations (in which neither business survives).
Acquisition alludes to the strategic move of one organization purchasing one more organization by acquiring significant stakes of the firm. As a rule, organizations obtain an existing business to share its client base, activities and market presence. It is one of the famous methods of business development.
Acquisition refers to buying a business, and there are different ways to go about it, depending on the situation, the type of business and the capital involved.
Acquisition is the process of buying or acquiring something, usually in a specific manner. This can be buying an item at a store, or taking possession of an object after winning it in a contest. Some people say that there is no difference between "buy" and "acquire." But if we look closely we can see that the word "buy" often has a negative connotation and "acquire" doesn't.
