What exactly is the MSCI World All Country Index?
MSCI All Country World Index (ACWI) tracks the performance of global equity markets. Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) maintains the index, which is comprised of approximately 3,000 stocks from 23 developed countries and 26 emerging markets.

The MSCI ACWI is used by fund managers as a benchmark for global equity fund performance as well as a guide for asset allocation. Indexes are also used in the development of financial products, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
