What is a bond market?
Opportunities to get financing for projects or investments might be found in the bond market. Investors buy bonds from a firm, and the company promises to refund the money they invested plus interest at a predetermined date.
Bond market is an example of a stock exchange, where bonds are traded. Bonds are issued by corporations and governments in order to raise money for various projects.
Bond markets are an institution for debt-based securities. A bond market is a market where bonds and other debt-related securities are traded between buyers and sellers, usually by large institutions.
Bonds are available to be bought and sold on the market. Generally large companies offer bonds, and governments. They do this so as to get an influx of funds, often for a project. Hence the company will be getting the money needed, as if it were getting a loan, so to speak, and then refund it plus a set interest sometime determined in the future.
